The Stock Market Game
The Fantastic Ferrets participated in a statewide stock market game. We had eight teams. Six of our teams place in the top 100 in the state, but that's not the most amazing part. One of our teams placed SECOND and another placed THIRD! That's right! IN THE WHOLE STATE! And that's not just against elementary students...that's against middle school students and high school students too! Some of us got to go to a banquet with Mrs. A to eat fancy food and pick up our certificates. It was a wonderful day!

Pi Day with the Fantastic Ferrets
Pi Day (March 14) is Mrs. Abernethy's favorite day of the year and the Fantastic Ferrets celebrated in style! With personal pies for breakfast, the Fantastic Ferrets were ready for the major festivities and performances beginning with the official pie cutting ceremony at 1:59. (3.14159) Students wrote their own lyrics and produced their own pi songs to such songs as Miley Cyrus's, "Wrecking Ball" and Ylvis, "What Does the Fox Say?"
